Antique Paper Doll Girl & 4 Outfits Embossed Die Cut Card Easel Back Spears 1910:
Fabulously frothy Edwardian paper dollCrimped and curled blonde hair with big blue eyes and rosy cheeks, she wears an embroiderie anglais slip trimmed with blue ribbon, lace topped socks and bow trimmed shoes - quite the little madamWith her easel stand and glossy embossed die cut form, and four accessorised outfits, she is quite a pictureShe has not been marked in any way but I found a reference to an amazingly similar doll in a 2006 sale catalogue of Shirley Fischer's paper doll collectionTheriault's The Doll Master Lot no. 111"10" doll. Designed in England,Spear's Series Registered,J.W.S & S Bavaria, circa 1910"Quite rare and original conditionFour frilly dresses with open neck hook fixings, four bonnets, all with slashed fittings, a parasol, a fan, a muff and a satchel bag
The card doll has a cracked crease at the neck but still stands securely upright as you can see and if you are VERY careful she will wear her clothes even though several dresses are either creased at the neck tabs or have one side missing through playThe parasol has an almost ripped right through handleHaving said that, this is a lovely antique collection, and it would frame up beautifullyHappy to offer postal discount on multiple purchases where possible
