Very primitive, hand forged eel/fish spear that was found in Maine.
The wood handle measures 8-1/4\" long. If you look at picture 5 above, you can see a very old repair. The wood has a partial split, and some type of very thin twine was wrapped around to hold it firmly.
The spear measures 6-1/4\" wide by 6\" long. It is still very sharp.
