Antique Primitive Wooden Butter Churn; As-found Country Rustic 1800s Old Churner For Sale
Here's an antique wooden butter churn up for offers without reserve! This one's right out of a barn and it's as-found with an original, dry, weathered surface that shows age and wear. Stored away for generations, this churn is still dusty and dirty but as you can see in the pictures, it's full of character and naturally beautiful. It's made of pine staves with iron bands that keep it tight and secure. The round, fitted splash cover is still there and the dasher, which has seen lots of use, has old repairs. Near the bottom, just above the lowest iron band, there's a small drain hole to help remove any excess liquid and to assist with cleaning. Sturdy, rugged, and sound, this old churn is well-preserved. There are no problems with woodworms, termites or dry rot. Somewhat petite, it measures, 15 1/2 inches high not including the dasher stick and 28 3/4 inches high with it. The bottom has a diameter of 7 inches and the top measures 6 inches across. Very rustic and just as we found it, this late 19th Century butter churn is ready to add a touch of old world charm to your home!
