Antique Rare Wwi Wwii Mcclellan Military Saddle M1904 Converted To M1928 Calvary For Sale
This is a rare classic McClellan saddle, model 1904 that has converted by the US military to the M1928 configuration that is in very good condition. The M1928 has skirts added to it and an English type rigging. This would be the saddle used during World War II. It has an 12" seat, the orignal tree is not damaged, and the leather is supple and free of any major imperfections, not oil soaked or dried out. The skirts are all present and in good condition. The bottom leather pads are good with minor marking. Straps are also in good condition. One metal escutcheon on the front of the saddle has come loose, but is included and can easily be reattached in the right hands. The saddle weighs about 22 pounds boxed to ship in what would be considered an oversized box and I do ship internationally via USPS Priority Mail.
