The cover of the locket is inlaid with beautifully madered enamel.
There is amaker\'s mark \"CS\"- we believe it stands forCarl Siewers, a master-jeweler who worked in St.Petersburg in 1844 for Faberge and from 1849 till 1860 had his own goldsmith workshop (called \"artel\").
