This is a highly collectible Red Wing Vinegar Measure Pitcher. These were used in the Old General Stores to measure approximately one quart of Vinegar out of the old oak shipping barrel. It is in great condition considering it was a primitive item and used over and over again. If you will look closely at the first photo you will see a faint one inch hairline on the interior of the pitcher. It shows very faintly on the outside and you cannot catch it with a fingernail. Also in the first photo you can see a small \"indentation\" on the pouring spout. This was done in the making as it is glazed over. The pitcher is unmarked but I found it a Red Wing Reference Book. The pitcher is 6\" tall from table to spout and is 4\" in diameter measured at the base.
