This replica Gramophone
/ Phonograph is a beautiful
and accurate reproduction of a vintage antique phonograph. It's handcrafted in India
using quality pinewood for the box casing, and real
brass for the horn. The piece is very similar
to, and can actually be compared to, the original Victor Talking Machine Company's RCA Victor
Phonograph. The piece comes complete with the "Nipper" (the famous RCA dog) logo decal that has
the famous words "His Masters Voice".
It features a
crank-handle that turns the internal spring-driven motor playing mechanism, a
speed adjustment/control dial, a voice reproducer/sound box, a tone sound arm &
elbow, a turntable plate, an extra-large aged bronze metal horn, a
playing needle (plus several extra reserve needles), and an
early 1900's style 78
RPM record.
Although the manufacture states this phonograph, if assembled correctly, will
work and play 78 RPM records, we sell this phonograph as a NON-OPERATIONAL
DECORATIVE or DISPLAY PIECE ONLY. Based on our 10-year history
selling these
units, we've found that not all units will work properly, as such we DO NOT sell
this product as an operational phonograph. We sell these units to be
proudly displayed alongside any other treasured antique, reproduction, replica,
or vintage heirloom piece in your home or office. It is great for theatrical purposes (i.e. theatrical plays, musicals,
movies, films, etc.), and often used in museums as a static display. Minor assembly is required.
