Antique Royal Doulton Emily Partington Vase Art Lambeth Stoneware Blue:
This sale is for a cylindrical Royal Doulton vase by Emily Partington.Decorated all round with applied swags, flowers and grapes (or hops) on a blue glazed ground. There is a mottled brown glaze to the upper half of the inside of the vase.Dating between 1901 (date of Royal Warrant) and 1912 (when Emily Partington finished worked at Doulton).It measures approximately 146mm tall, and 80mm across the rim. Marks: Royal Doulton England lion and interlinked D logo, inscribed 'EP' (artist monogram), 'UBW', '[?]d', and 7556 (pattern number).Condition: There are a few small pinprick bubbles to the glaze, a couple of small scratches to the outer glaze (one of which is a couple of centimetres long; this looks on first glance to be a crack but is not), and a few very age-related surface scratches.
