Antique Russian / Persian / Chinese Solid Silver Cloisonne Enamel Ash Tray For Sale
Incredibly Beautiful and superbly hand made Solid Silver & Cloisonne Enamel Ash Tray.
Features fine quality all over cloisonne work and enamels in various shades of blue, turquoiseand purple.
I'm undecided on the origin. It's typical of Russian cloisonne but looks Persian inspired.
However, my best bet is that it's Chinese from the 1930's. It shares many attributes of fine Chinese Bracelets from the 1930's which were often similarly silver gilt, had a similar feel to the cloisonne work and were marked 'silver'.
Either way it's the best solid silver ash tray that I've ever seen.
