This is antique Russian travelling brass icon made probably in the middle of 19th century in Russia.
Four-folded panels depicting the twelve major feasts.
The firsticon depicts: The Annunciation, The Nativity, The Nativity of The Virgin, The presentation of the Virgin to theTemple. The top panel is The Crucifixion surrounded by St. Martha, Mother of God, Saints John and Longin Centurion.
The second icon: The Presentation of Christ to theTemple; Baptism; Transfiguration; Entrance toJerusalem. The top panel is New Testament Trinity.
The third icon :The Resurrection (The Descent into Hell), The ascension ,The Old Testament Trinity ,The Dormition Mother of God.
The fourth icon: The Tikhvin Mother of God, Mother of God of Vladimir with selected Saints; Mother of God of Smolensk with selected Saints; Mother of God of Sign with Selected Saints. The top panel - depicting Praise of Mother of God.
