Antique Sampler – Dated 1672
Dimensions: 20cm x 49cm
Dimensions of Frame: 34 x 66cm - the frame is faux burr style
Sewn in two colours – green and orange. With horizontal panels of flowers, figures,
text and lace work to base. The animals
include deers, frogs, rabbits, snakes, birds and humans.
The bottom section also has lace work. It was sewn by someone called Ioanna Walton
and dated 1672
I think it may be quite rare, I have never seen anything
like this, selling as down-sizing my life!
This is inherited my mother bought it years ago and had it
