Here we have a beautiful older Scorp Drawknife that is in Very Good Excellent condition. This is the tool used by wood workers to scoop out wood, especially popular with chair makers who used them to form the seats on the chairs they built. This example has a Forged blade with a single inside bevel edge that measures about 4 inch across. Is marked Wm Johnson Newark NJ. This was a well known tool maker that made tools from 1870s till 1930 when bought out by Osborn. Has some staining and forging marks but nothing that will affect its use. . Has both matching handles, both are good with one having a minor spit Please see my photo I took of this to show you...very minor.
