Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock – Adamantine Finish Ca. 1898 For Sale

This wood case clock has an Adamantine Finish. Adamantine is the exclusive name Seth Thomas gave to its plastic-like finish over 100 years ago. This name is frequently misapplied to clocks other than Seth Thomas.
It has an 8 day time and strike movement which is in excellent working condition. It strikes the hours on a gong and the ½ hours on a bell. It has a fancy gilt metal dial. It measures 17 inches wide by 11 inches high. The only fault is 4 burn marks on the top which could be touched up with paint, but I leave that to the next owner. Please look carefully at the pictures to avoid disappointment. Outside USA email after sale for price quote. Only PayPal is accepted.
