For obvious reasons, it will end up in an oversize container... If the shipping seems high, remember, it is for safe shipping by those with NO DESIRE to handle packages safely. You will end up paying less than actual cost.
HERE IS A SETH THOMAS WESTMINSTER CHIME CLOCK No. 72 – CIRCA 1921. THE CLOCK IS AN 8 DAY WIND WITH 3 WINDING SPRINGS. THE CASE IS MADE OF RICH AND DEEP RIBBONED MAHOGANY THAT IS IN WONDERFUL CONDITION AND LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REFINISHED AT ONE TIME. THERE IS NO CRAZING OF THE WOOD FINISH. THE DIAL OF THIS SETH THOMAS IS STUNNING, A VERY FANCY ORIGINAL PIERCED DIAL THAT WAS HAND CUT, HAND ENGRAVED AND GOLD PLATED. THE CLOCK HAS THE ORIGINAL GLASS SURROUNDED BY A MAHOGANY FRAME. THE ORIGINAL PENDULUM IS INCLUDED. NOTE THE KEY IS SINGLE SIDED, THIS IS BECAUSE THE SPEED (TIME) ADJUSTMENT HAS IT'S OWN DIAL ON THE UPPER FACE PLATE TO THE LEFT. THE TOP RIGHT SMALL DIAL IS A SHUT OFF FOR THE CHIMES.
THIS CLOCK IS KNOWN FOR THE TOP QUALITY MAYLAND WESTMINSTER CHIME. IT IS SAID THAT THE MAYLAND CHIMES ARE BY FAR THE MOST RESONANT AND PLEASING TO EAR CHIME. THE REGULAR SETH THOMAS WESTMINSTER RODS ARE NICE, BUT THESE CHIMES ARE TRULY BEAUTIFUL AND THE BEST SOUNDING. CHIMES ON THE QUARTER, HALF, THREE QUARTER AND THE HOUR. THE CLOCK IS IN FINE RUNNING CONDITION AND A PRECISE TIMEKEEPER. THIS CLOCK IS FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION AND I HAVE OWNED IT FOR YEARS.
THE CLOCK IS 13.5 POUNDS, 14+3/4 " TALL BY 10.5" WIDE AND 7" DEEP.
BOTH FRONT AND REAR DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE PERFECTLY AND THE GLASS DOES NOT HAVE ANY CHIPS OR SCRATCHES. THE CLOCK RETAINS THE ORIGINAL "113" MOVEMENT, ALL 5.5 POUNDS OF IT. IT IS A 3 TRAIN MOVEMENT THAT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED. IT ALSO HAS A SELF ADJUSTING FEATURE THAT AUTOMATICALLY CORRECTS THE CHIMES TO THE TIME. THE ONLY THING I SEE THAT HAS BEEN REPLACED IS THE SMALL CHIME SHUT OFF HAND. IT IS THE SAME SHAPE AS ORIGINAL.

We describe items to the best of our ability and belief. We are not experts in every field. You may know more about certain items than we do. Most items are used or antique and may show some minor wear. Any wear that is significant will always be described and photographed. I will photograph and/or describe this to the best of my ability. The photographs I take are very good and show well, if you require more, let me know. Because of some "nit pickers", all measurements are to be considered close and approximate. Mechanical items, such as clocks and clock movements are sold without warranty. I will tell you if they are working, or not, at time of listing. Antique clock movements can be complex and delicate, often needing a bit of adjustment. I take a long time to study an item prior to listing. I know my items well, do not try to switch or ask for partial refund for simulated or false damage, as I have had in the past. I use new boxes and packing material. To protect us both, I video ALL items as they are packed to protect against fraud and shippers that may not want to pay damage insurance if they break items due to mishandling. However, I have not hade a single damage claim in over 4 years...we pack well! We will not take advantage of you for shipping fees. We almost always loose several dollars for shipping material, to top that, takes their percentage of shipping costs. What's that all about?
