Unique Victorian Silver Salver Tray By Martin Hall & Co London 1892 419 grams:
$612.68

This sale is for a very fine Victorian Silver Salver or Tray measuring approx 23 cm (9 inches)in diameter and weighs approx 419 grams (13.4 Troy Ounces). The circular tray has a waved scroll and shell border to afoliatepatterned engraved tray with a very fancy monogramto the middle and sits on three Ball and Claw feet. The interesting and delightful thing this tray has is that it has an inscription to the rear that reads \'FROM THE HOUSEHOLD SERVANTS AT UPTON,OCTOBER 4th 1893\' and would have been a very expensive thing for servants to buy and present to their employers at the time,Also to the rear is the Hallmark for London 1892 and the makers stamp for Martin Hall & Co(Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). The condition of the piece is in my opinion excellent some age related surface ware but that\'s about it.This is a true unique piece of British social history. Please study photos as an aid to condition,This item is offered elsewhere so right is retained to remove listing at any time
