This is a piece of Chinese (I think) silver. It is a small lidded pot made in the shape of a turtle. The top lifts of and the container may have contained opium/herbs/medicine. The turtle/tortoise is prevalent in Asian folklore. This contianer has a stamped mark on the base (I cannot decipher it!) The little turtle measures 5 x 4 cm and in good undamaged READ CAREFULLY. I try to photograph and describe my items as truthfully and honestly as possible. Please contact me to clarify any point before offerding.
