Antique Southern Mule Chest:
Yellow Pine Primitive Southern Mule Chest. This interesting and unusual piece was property of an Orange, Virginia estate whose owners are descendents on one family side to Bartlett Yancey, whom Yanceyville, NC is named after and Alexander Hugh Homes Stuart who was US Secretary of the Interior 1850-1853. We purchased the chest at an sale and the previous information was included in the listing. The top is removable and reveals a trough. The lower doors open to reveal a lower storage area. The chest has been placed on wheels making it easy to move about. There is a break in the bottom that can be seen in the photos. This piece is primitive and so has many bumps and bruises that only add to the character. Height with Top 33-1/2"
Deep 20-3/4"Local pick up available. Buyer will need to arrange shipping.
