Antique Sterling Silver Match Box Holder & Candlestick on a Clear Glass Pen Stand or Tray dated 1912
The Pen Tray measuresapproximately 6 1/2 inchesor 165 mm across the length of its body from end to end by 2 1/4 inches or 57 mm across the width of its body from side to side, the removable sconce on the candlestick is 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm across the width or diameter of its rim from side to side and it has an internal candle holding recess that is 1/2 an inch or 13 mm across from one side to the other, the pen tray stands 2 5/8 inches or 57 mm tall to the top of its candle sconce and it stands 3 5/8 inches or 92 mm tall to the top of the match box holder.
The pen tray is made from a clear glass body that has hand cut chamfered edges with an internal recess that is designed to hold desk top items or pens and it has a sterling silver candlestick with a removable silver sconce on the top of one end with a sterling silver petite match box holder on the other end, the candlestick, match box holder and glass pen stand has Not been engraved witha previous owners initials or familymonogram all as photographed below, the side rim of the candlestick along with the internal body of the removable sconce and the outer body of the match box holder have all been impressed with matching English sterling silver hallmarks that readas follows,

Thecondition isused and near Mint for its age.
The clear glass body is in mint condition with No Chips and No Cracks, the sterling silver match box holder and candlestick have No LargeDents, No Splits, No Cracks, No Holesand the pen stand has No Repairs that I can find, the body is stands straight, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the candle sconce is a perfect fit, the silver hallmarks are ever so slightlyrubbed or worn in places but still legible although as the pen tray or stand is aused antiqueit does havethe odd tiny shallow dent in its silver that is hardly worth mentioning along with some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has thepatina of age that is to be expectedand a gentle clean would enhance it greatly.PersonallyI think that this antique desk top match box holder, candlestick and pen stand or tray can still be used today and that it wouldmake a superb addition to any collection, I also think thatit looks fantasticconsidering that it's over 100 years old.
