Antique Sterling Silver "Dinna Forget" Thimble
Scottish/English * Circa 1870This sterling silver (tested) motto thimble has the words DINNA FORGET embossed on the band. The rest of the band has a leafy hand engraved design. This is a traditional Scottish rallying cry and is usually thought to refer to the battle of Culloden fought in 1746 against the English. The thimble was probably made in England for the Scottish market.
The condition is excellent, in round with no holes, repairs or other damage. It's about an American size 8 (15 mm diameter opening).
