This Antique Lantern measures approximately 45 mm 1 3/4" high without the chains, The miniature lantern is made from sterling silver, the lantern has a pierce decorated top with a ring that hangs from the stand and it has four sterling silver chains that the other two parts of its raised relief, pierced and engrave decorated body with 3 angels heads and pair of wings.It hasbeen impressed with European 925 standard sterling silver marks , I estimate that this dolls house miniature lantern and stand were possibly made in france end of XIX.

The condition is used and near Mint for its age.

The lantern have No Dents, No Splits, No Cracks, No Holes and No Repairs that I can find, they stands upright and the lantern hangs perfectly, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the central body of the lantern opens and closes perfectly with ease, the sterling silver and makers marks are still legible although as this is a used antique dolls house miniature lantern , I wash it carefullywith tooth paste. Personally I think that this antique miniature lantern would make a superb addition to any dolls house or cabinet collection and that it looks absolutely fantastic considering that it's around110 or so years old.
