This antiquethimble has a ten paneledband with a lush leafy design embossed on alternate panels.Inside the top is marked \"Sterling\", \"7\" (size) and ithas both the anchor and \"G\" trademarks for Goldsmith, Stern & Co. of New York.

Ithas nopersonalization. The condition isexcellent, crisp and in round withnoholes, repairs orother damage. GayAnn Rogers shows some of Goldsmith & Stern\'s panel bandthimbles on pp. 142-144 her book AmericanSilver Thimblesbut this one isn\'t illustrated.
