Antique Stoneware: Fine 3gal. Ny Jug W/ Cobalt Floral, Satterlee & Mory, Ca.1875:
A superb 19thC. Salt-Glazed Jug from Upstate New York, ca.1875. The impressed stamp on the shoulder is Cobalt-Washed and reads: SATTERLEE & MORY, FT. EDWARD, NY. This is the mark of George Satterlee and Michael Mory; they were partners for 30 years at this well-respected manufactory (1861-1891). This piece features a truly exceptional Floral Plume, perfectly executed in Slip-Trailed Cobalt. The design is big and bold, measuring over 12" in length. There is some minor surface discoloration (lower right, rear); otherwise in Near-Mint condition. This Ft. Edward Jug will display quite prominently in any Antique Stoneware collection. Please see photo set for complete details, close-ups and further description. The winning buyer will not be disappointed; I am listing with absolutely to give all interested a completely fair chance. This Keeper weighs 12.4 lbs. and measures 10"W x 16"H overall. Best of Luck, thanks for looking and be sure to browse my other sales for more "Collector Quality" Stoneware, and more.
