Antique Stoneware: *nr* 19thc. New England Cake Crock W/ Cobalt Bird, Ca.1875 For Sale
A fine 2Gal. Decorated Cake Crock from New England, ca.1875. The maker's mark is cobalt-washed and reads: BULLARD & SCOTT, Cambridgeport, Mass. Features a rare, left-facing Bird on a sprig in slip-trailed cobalt. Birds will typically face to the right about 80% of the time. Professionally restored. There is a repaired chip on the rim (see close-up), and some age-appropriate wear on the interior Albany Slip. Please see photos for details and further description. This HTF 2Gal.
