Good afternoon from Congers, NY. I purchased this case from a local estate recently. I've been trying to find a similar one on the internet so I could get a handle on what it might be worth. I don't see anything similar out there, so off it goes with a silly minimum offer and . Happy offerding!

The case is 7.25" wide across the front, 5.25" deep, and 8.75" tall to the top. The front, back, and both sides of the case are plain glass. The front glass panel has "TOOTSIE ROLLS" and "PURE DELICIOUS/ CHOCOLATE CANDY" etched on the interior of the glass. The lettering appears to have once been gilded, scant traces remain. There is a shelf 4.75" up from the ground in the case, the shelf cants slightly from back to front (as per designed). 4 small ball feet. This is a really sweet little counter display, very well made.

The giant, modern Tootsie is shown for scale. I don't think I'll be shipping it (nom nom). There may have been a pin that held the door shut at one point, this pin is gone if it ever existed. I also can't tell if the gold colored paint on the display is original. If not original, it is old.

NEW POLICY as of 4 July, 2012. After several miserable experiences in a row, and thousands of dollars of goods lost, I've decided that I WILL NO LONGER SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. Don't ask.
