Presented for your consideration is this neat Civil War button. The button is metal with a thin brass front and features the Ordnance Corps insignia of two cannons and a fire bomb on the front. These types of buttons would have been worn on a military uniform coat either on the front or on the cuff. The Ordnance Corps is a branch of the United States Army that is responsible for supplying ammunition and weapons to combat units. This interesting button would make a great addition to any Civil War or military memorabilia collection!
There is some oxidation on the back of the button. There is also residue fromadhesiveused to affix the button to a board on the back as well. Some patina and wear is present. Free of dents. Overall in GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details.
