A superb antique majolica plate from a collection we\'ve recently purchased.This plate features raised strawberries and their leaves on an intricate interlaced background, with a brown border. 8.25\" across and in excellent condition.This piece is identical to the one pictured on p. 67 of Mike Schneider\'s book \"Majolica,\" where he identifies it as having been made by Utzschneider & Company. The mark is the words \"Sarreguemines\" and \"Majolica\" impressed on the back, along with the number \"3\" and the written \"36,\" all under the glaze.An outstanding piece! $8 shipping in the continental U.S.
