Rare early HalloweenDennison Snarling Black Cat Face Die Cut Decoration.
Measures 5\" wide by 5.5\" tall. These weremade by Dennison in the USA in the1920s -1930s. I believe this one is from the 1930s.
Used - Pre-ownedcondition.Very vivid colors, but does show some wear including some small holes, marks, andtape as shown in photos.Overall, in my opinion, the flaws add to the character, and this would be a great piece to frame or put into a shadowbox for display - but of course not everyone collects for the same aesthetic, so please make sure you are fully aware of the condition before purchase :)
This came from a recent estate sale buyout. The story on these is that the decorations were found at the bottom of a box of vintage clothing and the kids of the deceased had no idea they were even there, and had never seen them before in their lives, so they suspect that the items belonged to their grandparents. The kids are in their 60s, so we are talking about items that were not given any special storage treatment, but which have probably not seen the light of day for at least 60 years if not more! Pretty cool I think! Don\'t miss this awesome opportunity to score this rare, \"un-vaulted\" item with such a neat history!
