~ ANTIQUE VINTAGE SETH THOMAS ROSEWOOD ADAMANTINE TAMBOUR 8 DAY WINDUP MANTLE CLOCK~ For your viewing pleasure is a very nice circa 1910 all original Seth Thomas Adamantine Rosewood 8 day mantle clock with working chimes and windup key. The company was started in 1853 by Seth Thomas. In 1909 they started making chime clocks and in 1928 saw them start their electric clock line. The year 1931 brought changes to the company when they became a subsidiary of General Time. A flood in 1955 did extensive damage to their factory, so they began importing movements from Germany. 1988 marked the end of the company. The clock is 9 ¾ inches high, 16 ¾ inches wide, and adamantine over wood construction. There are no cracks or breaks to the clock body. The adamantine overlay is still glossy and in great shape for its age. There is a tiny ½ inch split at the bottom middle of the front of the clock and a couple of tiny chips on the clock from age and usage. The glass lens is free of any cracks, breaks, or chips. The clock face is in very good condition with only usual wear from age. The movement has the Seth Thomas stamp on it. It has all of its ball feet on it. The clock was wound up a few times and tested. It ran for a few days kept good time and chimes worked properly, full chime on the hour and 1 chime on the half hour. There is a date stamp on the bottom of the clock but it is hard to read. The overall condition of this antique timepiece is excellent for its age and usage. This would be a real gem for anyone’s antique clock collection or as a working display piece for the home or office. Please READ our Feed Back! We will ship your item / items through USPS ( United States Postal Service ). Typically you will see two choices so please pick what best serves your needs. Priority usually arrives in 2-3 business days with other options taking anywhere from 4-10 business days. Your item will be insured & you’ll be provided with delivery confirmation info. After your item ships. We have a FEDEX account too & can send larger packages with them quite reasonably. If the USPS seems high just ask for a quote at sale end.....we will be glad to make a comparison. FEDEX offers home delivery after 5pm. ***Please note that when a FLAT RATE shipping fee is offered we can’t ship to a PO Box. Also, Domestic Flat Rates apply only to the Continental U.S. (No Alaska or Hawaii)***
If your item is damaged in transit you must notify us within 36 hours of delivery. Keep all original packaging materials, box, & item. Do not throw anything away. We will be very happy to work with you through the claim process. In over 10 years of being on we have had only two items ever reported damaged & that was due to carrier abuse.
Currently we only accept electronic payments through PayPal. Items are shipped within two business days of completed payment (often cases sooner).
Payment is expected within 3 days of sale close / Buy-It-Now listings unless prior arrangements are made. If there is a delay please just communicate with us.

We can’t control courier transit times! Priority mail usually takes 2-3 days to arrive but is not guaranteed by the United States Postal Service. When you select Parcel Post, Media Mail, etc., these services can take up to 10 business days & sometimes longer. They are less costly because they are not as timely.
