This sale is an antique or vintage John Deere Crank Part #Y1575-B.The crank is about 6 1/2 inches long and the handle is 3 inches long. The handle and crank are solid cast. I found this at a garage sale 20 yrs. ago or so and was attracted to the JD logo. I\'ve had it in my collection, but must down size so here is a \' what is it??? I haven\'t seen another, and grew up on the farm, I am 70 yrs. old. It is a unique piece for a collector. I did ask my local JD dealer if he could trace the part. He said it seemed to be a planter part, but wasn\'t sure. This was confirmed by an elderly uncle of mine who seemed to think it was for the check wire spool-note the square hole-11/16-3/4 inch square.

I have an old \"Deere and Mansur Works of Deere and Company\" instruction sheet for planter markers and all the parts begin with \"Y\"####. I am including this instruction sheetwith this part. With this information, this makes me think they were probably right about \'what is it?\'. This would be a rare part and instruction sheetfor a John Deere collector.Questions welcomed.
