Antique Victorian 18k Gold Bloodstone Carved Intaglio Seal 6.75 Mens Ring
This sale is for a finely made and detailed, 18k gold and bloodstone seal ring, that is from the Victorian era.This piece is not marked but tests positive for 18k gold, it is a rich yellow gold, and the central stone is bloodstone. The ring is a size 6 3/4 with the bloodstone measuring 11mm x 8.5mm. The band of the ring is 2.5mm wide at its thinnest point and weighs 6.0 grams. This ring is unique for the quality of the materials, the detailed etchings at the sides, and the unique carved seal in the bloodstone. The seal looks like islamic writing - I haven't been able to identify it - but it's still very clear and distinct with very little surface wear. The bloodstone has a high sheen without any chipping or scratching. The stone is very dark with a few tiny speckles of red that are noticeable mainly on close inspection. The pattern along the sides of the ring are very intricate and finely done - giving the ring a lot of texture and visual interest. There are no irregularities to the band of the ring, no dents or dimples, and no signs of solder or repair. The ring is very fresh looking. Overall this is a finely made and detailed, 18k gold and bloodstone seal ring, that is from the Victorian era and is in Excellent condition.
