Antique Victorian Austro Hungarian 800 Silver Amethyst Seed Pearl Bracelet For Sale
Antique Victorian Austro Hungarian 800 Silver Amethyst Seed Pearl Bracelet
This sale is for a finely made and colorful, silver and amethyst bracelet, that was made in Austro Hungary during the Victorian era. This piece has maker marks on the tongue of the clasp that identify the piece to be made in Austro Hungary and for 800 silver content. The bracelet measures 7" long, is 1 1/4" wide at its widest point, and is 1/4" thick at its thickest point. The bracelet closes securely with its original push clasp and has an older and finely matched safety chain but I don't think its original to the piece and it does not come undone. The stones have been identified by certified gemologist to be natural amethyst, the larger and the smallest stones, only the four medium sized stones in the central pendant are paste. This piece is unique for its substantial and bold design that is intricately made with lots of color and pretty contrast between the rich purple amethyst and the creamy seed pearls. There are no stones missing and they all look original to the piece. The central amethyst is 5/8" long and the smallest amethyst stones are 1.5mm in diameter. The bracelet has an ornate setting with pretty scroll and tiny flower details that are enhanced by the bright gold vermeil finish. The amethysts range slightly in color, the biggest stone is the lightest, and the stones are open at the back and faceted on both sides so they have a lot of depth in color and refraction. There are no chips to the amethyst the surfaces are fresh looking with crisp faceting. There is some tiny chips and surface wear to the four paste stones but they are noticeable only upon close inspection. There are no seed pearls missing, a few are a tiny bit chipped, so the seed pearl borders are solid without any gaps. The setting doesn't have any signs of solder or repair and the piece has a bright and golden patina with very little wear to the vermeil. Overall this is a finely made and colorful, silver and amethyst bracelet, that was made in Austro Hungary during the Victorian era that is in Excellent condition. There are many more beautiful pieces up for sale this month so please view my other items for the full selection.Shipping All jewelry is carefully wrapped and shipped in boxes to ensure that your vintage piece arrives safely.
