BEAUTIFUL Victorian mantel. This is black with no fade to tje outter shell. The yellowish color is incandescent light. Heavily beaded in French jet, with a large ornate design on the center back. There is beading accenting every curve, front small beads to larger beads at the shoulders. Some beads are missing and some are loose. The tails in front have beading all the way down. The one is missing it\'s beaded fringe. I think it\'s looks better without it.The front has beaded circles down the center. Some are missing, and some are loose. Most of the original hooks and eyes are attached. They are rusty. However, they can be replaced. The should have a slight gather for accenting. The collar is also beaded with some loose/missing beads. The backside is missing most of hanging strands on the right back shoulder.
The lining is strong and intact with some fade spots. The collar is lined with a material like courderoy. The outside shell feels like a blend material and the ties almost grossgrain.Amazing piece to wear, display or use as a pattern. This piece still has life and is wearable. Shown on a small form. With the open sides and shoulders it may fit a Medium. It also has its waist ties. They have no hook/eyes, but long enough for a Medium waist or skirt attachment.
Measures 33\" down canter fornt and 18\" down center back. Ties are approx. 13.5\" each.
