Antique Victorian 8-point Star pin or pendant/locket with clusters of rose-cut Bohemian natural garnet gemstones . Bail for chain can be removed and used on other pendants as well and is very decorative too. Hinged crystal glass cover locket opens for photo or other memento. Hinge and safety c- clasp work fine and are tight. Back is gold vermeil which is typical on Victorian garnet jewelry from the 1800\'s.
There are 3 layers of garnets making the Star very dimensional. No missing stones. Garnets are deep red and uniform in color as well as prong set. Excellent condition. Star measures 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\". Bale is 1/2\" h. Leather strap necklace for display only.
