For sale an approx. 4 1/4x6" cabinet card of a man from the Stephens family album, Greeneville, TN - see below for more info.
This cabinet cards shows wear from age and use with expected discoloration, rubwear, small nicks and bumps along the card, photo edges and corners and/or spotting.
This photo is part of a large family photo album full of tintypes, cabinet cards and CDVs from the South, mainly Greeneville, TN, Mohawk, TN andAtlanta - be sure to check out my other sales for the remaining photographs.I do combine shipping.
Regarding some of the people seen in the album I am lisitng:
Mary Jane (Farnsworth) Stephens ~ was born October 18 1820 and died June 28 1896 she was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Farnsworth and married to Samuel S. Stephens born April 2 1805, she marriedSam in 1838. Sam was the son of Andrew Stephens and died April 26, 1874. They had 13 children through 1856 including Eliza who died at age 20 and A.J. who was named after his grandfather. AJ as their first son and second child. He joined the Fourth Tennessee Federal Infantry, and was captured andput in the Confederate service, ran away andbegan Company E, Second Federal North Carolina Mounted Infantry where he served until August 16. 1865, He became sheriff in1866marrying Martha E Susong. She was born in Greene County in 1843, they had four children. Mary Jane is buried in Stephens Cemetery in Greene County TN
Elmer and Lillie (Wright) Murray from Mohawk, TN had a son named Jack Murray who farmed after retiring from Greene County Bank.Jacklived on the same farm his great-grandfather purchased in 1823. He had a brother, Crosby Murray; and a sister, Maggie Sue Solomon. He married Ruth Murray.
