This lovely Guaranteed Antique Victorian Flying Owl Decorated Brass Vesta Match Striker c. 1880 with an original worn Nickel Plated finish is in excellent condition with no losses, chips, damage, dents, scratches or imperfections at all apart from a significant patina in the form of loss of Nickel plating from about two thirds of the vesta.
The wonderful fine smooth sprung hinge and beautiful patina on this original Vesta show a very capable maker.
The aged patina and colour variation is exquisite and there is a striking plate on the base.
The original loop holder is also present.
I can not fault this beautiful vintage vesta and it would be perfect for a gift or for personal use.
