Antique Victorian HM 1886 sterling silver & gold pen quill and shell shaft:

This is a beautiful sterling silver and gold pen quill with broken abalone shell shaft. The quality is exquisite and would benefit from restoring.
The quill has a set of hallmarks with makers JF for James Fenton, the anchor for Birmingham assay office, date letter m for 1886 and the lion for sterling silver. The quill is made of 9 carat gold and has a makers mark which I cannot fully make out.
The length is 7.5 cm ( Three inches ).
