This piece can be worn as a pendant but I’m wondering if it was more likely to be used on a dresser for example originally. It was a souvenir tourist piece and by the design I would guess it is most likely German made. The piece has a very substantial weight and feel with a charming puffy shape to the locket that is around 5/8”thick at its thickest point. There are no dents to the shape of the locket and the enameling is very fresh looking without any chipping or thinning. There is some surface scratching to the front and back but its a modest amount and the piece still has a very golden patina. The turquoise stones on the bale look like replacements and not original to the piece. The inside of the locket reveals its original photo frames and thick glass inserts. There is a small dent to the interior panel of the locket which does not effect how the piece is used and does not show from the exterior of the locket. Overall this is a very substantial and unique, glass photo locket, that is from the Victorian era and is in very good condition.
