Antique Victorian pendant enhancer. 18k yellow gold, enamel and pearls. Made circa 1860-1880. Made in France.

Measurements: Length approximately 1 1/4inches (32mm) not including the bale. Weighs 9.0 grams. Please note that ruler in pictures is in inches.

Oval pendant. The flat border very finely enamelled in blue triangles with white foliage or feathers detailed above the blue. The triangles are surrounded by engraved dots. Intersperced with seed pearls. A raised section within in a basket-weave of spun gold wirework. The back could be enclosed by a glass cover as there is certainly space for a compartment there. Beautiful workmanship and design.

Marks: French eagle mark for 18k gold.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. One of the blue triangles (very top right) has lost some white detail. (See enlarged pictures)
