This is for an antique Victorian repousse solid silver Malacca cane walking stick, circa 1890. The Malacca cane shaft is slightly tapering, and has a solid silver bulb form handle, which is decorated with repousse and chased technique to depict foliate scrolls. The handle has a large vacant cartouche to the top, for engraving a name or initials. The stick has its original brass ferrule to the tip. The silver handle is unmarked, but tests as solid silver. This walking stick measures 87.5 mm in length. The handle measures 4.2 cm in height. It weighs 93 grams. The condition is generally very good, without damage or repair, there is a small dint to the top of the handle, and the Malacca cane shaft has surface wear, expected with age and use, no other damage.
