Wonderful Victorian Hallmarked Solid Sterling Silver Aide - Memoire Made By Hilliard & Thomason
Description -Splendid rectangular Aide - memoir/Card case with hinged lid and push button clasp, the case has been beautifully hand engraved on both sides with an ivy leaf pattern and with a central circular cartouche with an engraved monogram, The case has dark green silk interior lining with pockets for holding calling/businesscards there there is also a calling card with the case.
The card case is fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birminghamassay, the Queen\'s head, the lion passantindicating925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"p\" for the year 1902 and the makers mark \"H & T\" which is Hilliard & Thomason.
Condition -The case is in good condition, there is a dink on one of the corners and some light bruising and dints around the sides are no splits, holes or repairs, the hinge and clasp are in excellent working order which clicks the case shut nice and tight, the engraving is crisp and clear with no rubbing or wear and the interior silk lining is in good order with no holes or tears but has some staining.
Dimensions & Weight -The case is 10cm wide x 7.1cm wide, the gross weight is 78.6 grams.
