Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Aesthetic Fan Large Locket

This sale is for a finely made and striking, sterling locket, that is from the Victorian era.This piece has British maker and sterling silver marks on the back. The locket is 2 3/8" long (including the bale), is 1 1/4" wide at its widest point, and is 5mm thick. The locket weighs 13.5 grams. The locket opens smoothly, there are no photo frames or insets on the inside of the piece, and the locket shuts securely. The back of the locket has a monogrammed "M" and the front of the locket has a striking design with a rose, a fan, and a small bird. There are parts of the design that are raised so the locket has a lot of texture and visual interest. There are no irregularities to the silver, no signs of solder or repair, and the piece has a bright patina that highlights the detail in the design. There are no dents or dings to the shape of the piece and a modest amount of surface scratching. Overall this is a finely made and striking, sterling locket, that is from the Victorian era and is in Very good condition.
