This is a fantastic antique framed print of a 1535 engraving of Dr. Martin Luther. I believe it was printed and framed toward the end of the 19th century. The wood on the frame is fantastic with a beautiful grain and natural semi-glossy finish in very good condition with a few minor scuffs, scratches, and dark spots from age. All four cornershave brass ormolu accent pieces of leaves and bows with some darkening of the brass from age, but none of them are broken or missing. The glass in the frame is original, quite wavy, and in very good condition with no noticeable damage. The print has some rough spots around the corners andedges from insect damage (shown close-up in the photos). The remainder of the print looks good with little darkening or staining (although a small amount is present). There is a hanging wire attached to the back for wall hanging. The outer dimensions of the frame are 21 1/2\" x 25 1/2\" and the print measures 16\" x 20\". It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
