MOVING SALE!!! We have finally moved. I am now back to unpacking my Mother\'s doll collection.I am nearing the \"end of the line\" doll wise, and honestly, these have been packed and in storage for nearly 20 years.She collected what she grew up with (she passed away a few years ago at the age of 90). Mostly compos, but also a few bisque. She loved Shirley Temple, Effanbee, and Alexander, and babies. Some are excellent, while others are \"projects.\" She bought what she could afford, sometimes keeping dolls on layaway for a year! That being said, here I go...

Very good, body excellent (not mint, read on). OK, don\'t know anything about this doll. I am thinking, based on his body, he is early 1900\'s. I do not see a marking on him. He is ethnic, either black or Indian. He is composition with a fully wood ball jointed body, like you would see on a bisque headed doll. No crazing. Stringing is perfect. He is jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, and wrists. Some of his clothing is sewn on, so I couldn\'t remove it. Based on what I can see, the body composition is outstanding with a few minor flaws; good coloring too. The face paint has some rubs to the darker coloring. The eyes are fixed in place. NO crazing. The lashes are nearly gone. Has his teeth and tongue. I think his brows may have been mohair, but those have pulled off. He does have a mohair wig. His wool uniform is soiled, but intact. Has wonderful brass embossed insignias and buttons. His belt, gloves, and the bill of the hat are leather (gloves are flaking). He was barefoot, so I added shoes and socks. He was in this box when I unpacked him.
