This is a Chinese brass tray measuring 9.5\" x 7.5\". As you can see from the photos it has a decorative scalloped edge. The image depicts a narrative between an adult and a child, involving a window with a curtain, and a cloud. There is a surrounding decorative floral border. Looking at the decoration close up it appears to have been formed by the use of an implement similar to a chisel and finer detail with a different kind of tool. We hope these details are enlightening to someone with a knowledge of Chinese mythology and craftwork. The back is stamped with the word \'China\'. The brass itself is of a good weight, over 400g, and it is in good vintage condition, not over-polished, just buffed up.
