Antique? Vintage Paper Papier Mache? French? 1800's? 25" Tall Cloth Body Doll :
??????? I'm certainly NO DOLL EXPERT. So----while I do think it's fair to say the DOLLI have up for sale is "VINTAGE",everything else I mightsaywould bejust a align="center">I know sewing machines were invented mid 1800's so I'm not letting the stitching of the garments get in the wayof my considering that this DOLL may be ANTIQUE. To me she has a "French" look about her, but I could be wrong. She certainly shows the "wear & tear" of aging with her numerous cracks, scuffs and dirty surface areas. I'll hazard a guess that her material is papier "paper" mache but if I'm wrong corrective information is welcome. I've never lets her "looks" per se stop me from admiring her and maybe someone out there can still see beyond her balding scalp with it'srusty red coiffure. I'll let the PHOTOS speak for themselves and would behoove you to closely examine themALL.Photo frame #12 for example shows a probable wire repair of her left arm. I have additional photos should you wish to see those. Her bust, arms and legs are attached to a stuffed fabric body. She measures 25 inches tall and 5 inches wide at her shoulders. Her face, nails and heels appear Hand Painted and you can see inPhoto FRAME #3 thatshe has bristly lashes.
Hopefully you will understand why I have to fold her in half to situate her in her Priority Box but I'll do it with care as she seems very flexible.
Thank you for stopping by to view my sale Item.
