Antique Vtg Ruskin Style High Fired Blue Iridescent Luster Pottery Mystery Vase :
$29.99
Up for offer is one antique/vintage iridescent blue luster pottery vase.
Vase measures 8-1/2\" high. Base measures 3-5/8,\" narrow opening at top measures 1-1/2\" and the widest part of the body measures approx. 4-3/4.\" Sky blue body with pinkish yellow highlights. Bottom unmarked.
Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, has a couple of very tiny glaze dimples that are no bigger than a pinhead-do not detract.
I have no idea who made this vase. The luster reminds me of Weller but of better quality and much more iridescent. The narrow top and high fired glaze seems similar to some Ruskin pieces. Cowan is out and I don\'t believe it is Roseville. I was able to find this exact vase being offered from an online sale service and they didn\'t know who made the one they had either.
My apologies for the pics. I took them in three different settings to try to capture the iridescence of this piece at the sacrifice of quality. It is still much nicer in hand. It is a nice, heavy piece that just shimmers when you look at it.
