Antique WML GILBERT Quarter Sawn Slag Glass Wooden Mantel Clock - Working Repair
This clock is very neat, I have not come across many like it. It is a WML Gilbert mantel clock with green slag glass decoration on both sides. It is only partially working. I wound the springs and both hold. It chimes on the hour (ding dong) and the half hour (ding). It ticks for about 30 seconds to a minute before it stops. A pendulum is included. The case is in good shape overall, the top point on the far right side is lose and the one on the inside right side is not fully attached. There is no longer a back cover. The case measures 16.75\" wide x 12\" tall x 6\" deep. The movement is marked 1911, PAT April 2, 1896, WML Gilbert Clock Co Winstead Conn USA, G. This clock is being sold as is for parts or repair.

Please take a detailed look at all pictures in this listing, as it is an important part of my description. Email me with any questions you may have before placing a offer or buying. I do my best in order to give accurate descriptions of items but if you see a mistake, please let me know. I will respond to your questions in the most timely manner possible. If I intend to be gone more than 3 days I list an away message to avoid confusion. This item is currently being stored in a smoke free home. All sales final; no returns accepted.
The antique mechanical clocks I sell are not simple modern devices, requiring only to be plugged in or a battery installed. As can be expected when dealing with an antique clock, some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock running correctly even if it is fully functional; they can be very delicate. If you do not have experience working with mechanical clocks, I urge you to think twice before placing a offer. One requires patience and skill to work with these beautiful historical artifacts, and I would rather not take your money if you\'ll only end up disappointed with your purchase due to lack of experience. Please ask any questions you may have *before* deciding to purchase.
