Antique Wwi Imperial German / Prussian M1889 Infantry Officer Sword W/ Scabbard For Sale
Antique WWI Imperial German / Prussian Infantry Officer’s Sword Model 1889 with Scabbard. Guard folds down and bears the Prussian coat-of-arms, brass hit with wire-wrapped bakelite monogrammed grip. The wire on the grip is 100% intact. The blade has no chips or rust although it could use some polish to shine it up. The scabbard looks as though it has been repainted and is in excellent condition with no dings or creases. The handle is solid and has little if any play. 30 inch blade, 35.5 inch overall length. A very nice example of an increasingly hard to find Imperial German sword.
