Antique Watermans Ideal Fountain Pen Sterling Overlay 12 Case Dropper Gold 2 Nib:
This pen measures 5 1/2", it looks to me to be in amazing condition, the silver is just beautiful. There is a "12" stamped in the very end. The nib states "WATERMAN'S REG.U.S. PAT. OFF 2." The barrel is stamped "WATERMAN'S IDEAL FOUNTAIN" on the top of the sterling overlay and then "STERLING" along the bottom. It comes in it's original case with a glass dropper. I haven't tried to squeeze the rubber bulb but it looks rather petrified, but the glass is in great condition. The case measures about 6 1/4" long and has a wooden holder in the inside for the pen and dropper. The case flap has some wear on the part of the flap that folds back and forth when opening. The inside of the ccase states "WATERMAN'S IDEAL FOUNTAIN PEN L. E. WATERMAN CO. 173 BROADWAY, NEW YORK." There is no clip but I don't think there ever was one on this pen. I was unable to unscrew the top but I know little to nothing about these pens so I didn't want to damage it trying. If someone knows how please let me know, oil? I have a new computer and new camera, so the quality of photos aren't what I'm used to adding because I haven't quite figured everything out so please ask questions.
