I\'m not knowledgeable about this item from a family\'s estate. But I believe it\'s a candy container--the top portion is removable. It\'s made of cloth and papier mache, cardboard interior and the baby is wax with blue glass eyes. There is a cord at the bottom that operates a squeaker that works. I have made no attempt to clean it. It measures 10 1/4\" X 4\". There are no markings I can see, but I\'m guessing it\'s German.
